SolarWinds User Device Tracker
Automate device tracking & switch port management
SolarWinds® User Device Tracker (UDT) delivers automated user and device tracking along with powerful switch port management capabilities. Stay in control of who and what is connecting to your network. Quickly find a device or user with a simple search on a username, IP address, hostname, or MAC address.
Use Case Scenarios
Uncover Device Connection History
Keeping track of all the devices on your network can be difficult, specifically if you are doing it manually. SolarWinds enables you to easily discover devices and track when and where those devices connect to the network, and then stores all of the pertinent information about those devices, connections, and history.
Keep Your Network Secure
Proactively monitor devices that join your network, track their connection history, and block devices that are security risks.
Plan For Network Upgrades
Identify switches that are at near full capacity, and plan network upgrade requirements with greater accuracy.
Switch Port Capacity Analysis
Along with tracking and monitoring users and devices, User Device Tracker can detect what switch ports are on the network and correlate the usage of those ports with devices and users. What’s more, SolarWinds can create logical maps of the switches and associated ports, as well as provide control over the ports.
Avoid BYOD Chaos
Discover when new devices access the network, track them by username, MAC address, IP Address or hostname.
Remediate IP Conflicts
Prevent network issues from impacting other users by remotely shutting down compromised device ports.

Detect Rogue Devices & Users
Receive alerts when suspicious devices connect to your network. Create a device watch list for tracking devices for both your wired and network devices.
Turn Ports On & Off Remotely
Remotely shutdown a compromised network device port with point-and-click simplicity, to mitigate security risks or prevent network problems.
Device Connection & User History
Investigate faster by unveil the date and time users entered the network, through which specific node port, SSD, or access point, via what connection type.
Gather user details via Microsoft® Active Directory® to reveal all endpoint logins, specifically endpoint name and most recent login time.
