How is SolarWinds SAM licensed?
Server & Application Montior is licenced by the number of monitored components. Monitors beyond the license limit are not activated and statuses change to “not licensed”.
Can SAM be used standalone?
Yes, Server & Application Monitor can be used as a standalone product. However, SAM becomes more powerful when it is integrated into the SolarWinds Orion platform.
